Role Overview
The General Manager F&B (Single Site) has full accountability for the operational, commercial, and people performance of a single food and beverage venue. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experience, strong financial results, disciplined operations, and a high-performing team in line with FAB Group standards.
As the most senior leader on site, the General Manager balances visible floor leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring service excellence, compliance, profitability, and brand integrity. The role works closely with central services and reports into cluster or group leadership, while leading Restaurant and Bar Managers as direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Leadership & Operations
- Own the end-to-end operation of the venue across all service periods.
- Act as the senior decision-maker on site, ensuring smooth daily operations and service flow.
- Lead by example on the floor during peak trading periods.
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, SOPs, and guest experience.
2. Commercial & Financial Performance
- Own site-level P&L performance including revenue, labour, and controllable costs.
- Drive revenue optimisation through service flow, capacity management, menu performance, and upselling.
- Monitor and control labour productivity in line with trading patterns.
- Review weekly and monthly performance reports and implement corrective actions where required.
3. People Leadership & Culture
- Lead, manage, and develop the Restaurant Manager (AGM), Bar Manager (AGM), and senior site leaders.
- Build a strong team culture aligned with FAB Group values.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention.
- Ensure fair, consistent handling of disciplinary and performance matters.
4. Guest Experience & Brand Standards
- Take full ownership of guest satisfaction, feedback, and service recovery.
- Ensure high standards of presentation, grooming, and professionalism across the venue.
- Maintain strong alignment between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
5. Compliance, Systems & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene, health & safety, licensing, and audit requirements.
- Ensure accurate use of POS, reservations systems, and operational reporting tools.
- Act as the primary interface between the site and central services teams.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 7–9 years’ experience in senior F&B management roles.
- Proven experience running a full-service restaurant or lifestyle venue.
- Strong commercial and people leadership skills.
- Hands-on, calm, and decisive leadership style.
